The third public hearing on a proposed solar farm before the Plano Plan Commission is set for Monday at 6 p.m. in the Plano High School auditorium.
Two previous hearings were continued to allow for additional public comment and presentations from developer Savion.
The commission is expected to hear from Savion experts, interested parties such as project neighbors and public officials, as well as members of the public.
The proposed 1,500-acre solar project has drawn opposition from Little Rock Township residents, who argue that a local ordinance banned commercial solar projects in the township. The project has also received support from various unions, which say it would create jobs for their members.
At the end of testimony and public comment, the commission is expected to vote on recommendations to send to the Plano City Council, which will have the final say on permits for the project.
