Texas State Rep. Katrina Pierson has been named grand marshal of the 11th annual Bikes for Tykes Teddy Bear Ride, scheduled for Sept. 20.

The annual charity motorcycle ride – organized by Rockwall County Bikes for Tykes and America’s Guardians Law Enforcement/Public Safety Motorcycle Club TX28A – collects teddy bears and other donations for children in need. Riders traditionally deliver stuffed animals that are distributed through local first responders and community organizations.

Pierson, who represents Texas House District 33, is a longtime supporter of the event, organizers said.

She took office in January 2025 after winning the District 33 seat, which includes Rockwall County and part of southern Collin County. In the Legislature, she serves on the House Congressional Redistricting Committee and the Homeland Security, Public Safety & Veterans’ Affairs Committee.

The Teddy Bear Ride has become an annual community event bringing together motorcyclists, law enforcement and local residents in support of children and families throughout the region.

Additional details on ride registration, the event route and donation opportunities are expected to be announced by organizers closer to the September event.
