WASHINGTON (TNND) — Walmart has begun to lower prices on multiple products, including soda and beef.

Walmart said the price cuts will be available in its stores and locations in Sam’s Club.

“This summer, Walmart and Sam’s Club are helping customers and members save more with thousands of lower prices through Walmart’s signature Rollbacks and Sam’s Club offers across stores and clubs nationwide,” the retail company put out in a press release.

Walmart listed examples of what would be cheaper, including Corn on the Cob and a pound of Ground Beef.

One pound of ground beef will go from $6.74 to $5.94 and Corn on the Cob will go from $0.68 each to $0.25 each.

“Customers count on Walmart to deliver the value they need every day, and summer is no exception,” Executive Vice President of Walmart U.S., Julie Barber said. “This summer, we’re making even more investments in price,with thousands of Rollbacks across the products customers are shopping for most including beef, fresh produce and beverages, grills, pools, toys and summer fashion apparel. Whether they’re stocking up for a backyard barbecue, heading out on vacation or simply shopping for the week ahead, we’re helping everyone save more for every occasion.”

President Donald Trump praised Walmart for the move.

“I have just been informed that one of the biggest, best, and smartest Retailers in America, Walmart, will be lowering prices, by a lot, at my Administration’s request to celebrate our great Country’s 250th birthday,” he wrote on TRUTH Social.
