The Seattle-born clinic, which has built its entire business around a single 15-minute procedure most men would rather not think about, is bringing that focus to Collin County with its first Texas location.
DrSnip is open at 1316 Village Creek Dr, Suite 600, in Plano, expanding beyond its longtime Pacific Northwest home base and giving North Texas men a specialty option for a service usually tucked into the back corner of a general urology practice.
One Procedure, Built Around Comfort
Rather than folding vasectomies into a broader urology practice, DrSnip has staked its entire model on doing this one thing well. The Plano clinic promises an experience closer to a boutique medical visit than a standard doctor’s office run-through. Patients move through scheduling, consultation and recovery with a level of attention the company says larger practices can’t always match.
Dr. Robert Brown oversees care at the new location, using a no-needle, no-scalpel method that keeps the procedure itself brief. Most patients are in and out of the exam room in under 15 minutes, and the entire visit, start to finish, typically wraps in under an hour. The clinic also takes most major insurance plans, removing one more barrier that tends to keep men putting off the appointment.
DrSnip CEO Jeffrey Cho pointed to the emotional side of the procedure as the real reason the company exists in its current form.
“Too many men approach vasectomy care with anxiety or uncertainty,” Cho said in an official statement. “DrSnip was built to make the experience feel calm, respectful and comfortable. When patients feel genuinely cared for, they leave with confidence and are more likely to tell other men how easy it was.”
Grand Opening Set For Late July
DrSnip plans to introduce itself to the Plano community with a public celebration on July 23, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The event will include a ribbon cutting, refreshments, giveaways and tours of the clinic, with physicians on hand to answer questions from neighbors and healthcare partners.
