The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent robbery-homicide by at least four masked men in the Cimarron Hills area on Tuesday that resulted in the death of one person, a spokesperson with the agency said.

Deputies found one person with a gunshot wound upon arrival at a house in the 2300 block of Reed Grass Way, west of Marksheffel Road near Feathergrass Park. They did not survive despite lifesaving efforts by members of the Falcon Fire Protection District.

Investigators found the men stole “items” from the scene, but did not specify what those were. There is no known threat to the community, according to the spokesperson.

The identity of the victim will be released after proper notifications have been made.

Anyone with information or video of the incident can call the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office at 719-390-5555.
