Major morning collision reduces northbound US 75 to one lane in Allen

Only the left lane remains open on northbound U.S. Highway 75 after a collision early Wednesday morning at Stacy Road in Allen. 

The accident was detected by the Texas Department of Transportation at 5:36 a.m. The left lane and shoulder remain open at Stacy Road, while all other lanes including the exit ramp are closed. An overturned vehicle can be seen on the grass median on TxDOT traffic cameras.

Collin County Sheriff’s Office and the Allen Police Department have not responded to immediate requests for comment. 

Traffic is backed up to McDermott Drive. Motorists are urged to take alternate routes until the collision has cleared to prevent further congestion.
