The annual event returns Nov. 5 to Comerica Center in Frisco

The Collin County Heart Ball has long been one of the area’s biggest nights of philanthropy, bringing together business leaders, community advocates and families around a cause that touches nearly everyone. This year, Malcolm and Carey Blair Farmer will help lead that effort as co-chairs of the 2026 event, putting a personal face on a mission that has shaped their own family.

“As a family, the mission of the American Heart Association is deeply personal to us,” said Malcolm Farmer, president and general manager of the Texas Legends. “We have seen firsthand the impact of heart disease and stroke, and we know many others in our community share a similar story.”

Heart disease and stroke remain the leading causes of death in Texas, making local fundraising efforts an important source of support for education, research and expanded access to care.

Carey Blair Farmer said the Heart Ball is about much more than one evening of celebration.

“We are honored to serve as chairs and invite the community to join us,” said Carey Blair Farmer, a private wealth advisor and consultant. “More than a gala, this event brings together leaders committed to building longer, healthier lives and changing the game for the health of North Texas. Community support makes this work possible and drives lasting impact.”

An Evening With Lasting Impact

The 2026 Collin County Heart Ball will take place Thursday, Nov. 5, at Comerica Center in Frisco.

Guests can expect an evening that blends celebration with purpose, featuring survivor stories, dinner, interactive experiences and a performance by Emerald City Band. Beyond the festivities, every dollar raised will support the American Heart Association’s work throughout North Texas, including CPR education, improved nutrition access, expanded healthcare access and cardiovascular research.
