TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) — Temple police are investigating a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle that left one person dead and another injured.
Officers were called around 8:02 p.m. Wednesday to the area of Logistics Way and NE HK Dodgen Loop. Police said preliminary information indicates the vehicle was traveling westbound and attempting to make a left turn when it collided with an eastbound motorcycle.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The motorcyclist was also taken to a hospital but was later pronounced dead. Justice of the Peace Larry Wilkey pronounced the rider deceased.
The department’s Traffic Reconstruction Unit remained on scene Wednesday night, and drivers were asked to use an alternate route. The crash remains under investigation.
