At 6 a.m. on July 22, the grocer will host a grand opening celebration
Collin County’s newest H-E-B is almost ready to welcome shoppers. The Texas grocery chain announced that its Murphy store will officially open at 6 a.m. on July 22, adding another location to its rapidly growing North Texas footprint.
The 122,000-square-foot store is located at 740 E. FM 544, at the corner of FM 544 and McCreary Road. The opening marks H-E-B’s sixth flagship store in Collin County as the San Antonio-based retailer continues expanding across the region.
What Shoppers Can Expect
The new Murphy location will offer many of the amenities customers have come to expect from H-E-B’s larger-format stores.
In addition to a full grocery selection, the store will feature a True Texas BBQ restaurant, a full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with a drive-thru and H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery for online grocery orders. Drivers will also have access to an on-site fuel station and car wash.
Investing In The Community
H-E-B has continued its tradition of supporting local organizations as it expands into new communities.
During the Murphy groundbreaking, the company donated $10,000 each to five local nonprofits: Friends of the Smith Public Library, the Wylie ISD Education Foundation, Amazing Grace Food Pantry, Coventry Reserve and the Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center.
The Murphy opening follows H-E-B’s steady growth throughout North Texas, where demand for the Texas-born grocery chain has fueled a wave of new stores in recent years. With another flagship location joining the lineup, residents in Murphy and neighboring communities will soon have one more option for groceries, barbecue and pharmacy services closer to home.
