Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico will be in El Paso for a town hall on Saturday, July 11.
The community town hall meeting will be from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Plaza Theatre, 125 W Mills Ave.

Talarico and Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton will face off in the Nov. 5 General Election for the chance to replace outgoing U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas.
Talarico was previously in El Paso as part of his Take Back Texas Tour campaign in February. His key campaign topics are immigration reform, public education and reducing costs for working families.
As part of the event, there will be a collection for school supplies to support El Paso students as they prepare for the new school year. Attendees are asked to bring supplies including notebooks, pencils, crayons, folders, backpacks, or other classroom essentials.
People are asked to RSVP online to attend the event at elpasodemocrats.com. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
