A new ramen place to open in Plano is now preparing to open in fall 2026.

What they offer

Kouchan Ramen will offer Tonkotsu ramen with spicy and black garlic options as well as gyoza, or dumplings, according to the company’s latest news release. Its “God Fire Tonkotsu” ramen is made with chili oil, while its “Black Garlic Tonkotsu” is blended with roasted garlic oil.

The restaurant has signature Hakata style ramen with pork bone broth simmered for hours, per previous reporting.

The Plano location is the first location in the US. Media representative Yukihiko Aoki said it has two other locations outside of Japan, with one located in Thailand and the other located in Korea. Kouchan’s US location was initially estimated to have an opening in spring and summer 2026, per previous reporting.
