EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — Deputies arrested an 18-year-old after an alleged aggravated assault involving a firearm was reported in El Paso County last weekend.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of an aggravated assault involving a firearm on July 5 in the 14700 block of Flora Court in El Paso County.
Following the investigation, deputies identified Damian Rodriguez as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
On July 6, deputies located Rodriguez in the 2000 block of Cypress Avenue, where he was taken into custody without incident, the sheriff’s office said.
He was transported to the El Paso County Detention Facility and booked on the outstanding charge. Bond was set at $300,000.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office encouraged anyone with information about criminal activity to contact law enforcement.
