EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Police Department and Crime Stoppers of El Paso are asking for your helping in finding a driver who fled the scene of a fatal hit-and-run in 2023 in Northeast El Paso.

This is this week’s “Crime of the Week,” as featured by Crimes Stoppers.

At about 8:40 p.m. on June 10, 2023, 57-year-old Pedro Salas was crossing the 8200 block of Dyer at Hercules. Salas was walking from west to east and crossed the southbound lanes of Dyer.  

As he began crossing the northbound lanes, a light colored 4-door car struck him. The impact knocked Salas to the ground.  He was also hit by another vehicle that was identified.  The driver of the first car fled the scene, Crime Stoppers said. 

Salas was transported to a hospital but ended up dying. Investigators know someone has information as to who the driver involved in the death of Pedro Salas is.
