HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — All southbound lanes of the Eastex Freeway at Beltway 8 were shut down on Sunday afternoon due to a fire following a multi-vehicle crash, Houston TranStar says.
According to Houston TranStar’s website, the incident was reported as a “Heavy Truck Accident” involving two vehicles and a “Vehicle Fire” on IH-69 southbound near Beltway 8 at about 4:55 p.m.
Houston TranStar cameras show multiple fire crews responding to the scene, with smoke near the stopped vehicles.
It is unclear what caused the incident or if anyone was injured.
