One of pop music’s coolest girls is heading back to Austin. Fresh off the release of her album, “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love,” Olivia Rodrigo will return to the stage of “Austin City Limits” for a July 29 taping at ACL Live, marking her first full-set performance of her new record.
Rodrigo first appeared on the show five years ago as an 18-year-old making her television debut before a live audience. Since then, she has earned three Grammy Awards and completed the 100-date GUTS World Tour, which ended in 2025.
Her new album has already produced major hits, including “drop dead” and “the cure,” and Rodrigo recently unveiled another new song, “what’s wrong with me,” featuring Robert Smith of The Cure.
Admission to the July 29 taping is free and will be determined through Austin City Limits’ online lottery system.
Passes are distributed in pairs about a week before the performance through the show’s official website, and entry is subject to venue capacity. The episode is slated to air and stream on PBS this fall as part of the series’ 52nd season. Past episodes are also available through the PBS App.
