Democrat James Talarico made a stop at an El Paso church while in the Borderland for his community town hall over the weekend.
Talarico shared photos from his June 12 visit to Northeast Bible Restoration Church in a post on X, saying he was honored to worship with the congregation. The U.S. Senate candidate was pictured addressing parishioners and shaking hands with church members.
Talarico appeared to have made the visit the morning after his townhall at the Plaza Theatre in Downtown El Paso, where he was greeted by well over 700 supporters in an event that lasted just under an hour.
Talarico is facing Republican U.S. Senate candidate and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the Nov. 3 General Election to replace U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas. Cornyn lost his reelection bid to Paxton in the Republican Primary Election.
The Northeast Bible Fellowship Church, located off of Fairbanks Drive in Northeast El Paso, started in a bible study at a home before opening in 2003, according to its website.
