EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Las Cruces Fire Department’s Technical Rescue Team, along with other agencies, conducted a mountain rescue of an injured hiker at Aguirre Springs on Sunday morning, July 12.
Around 10 a.m., crews assisted a hiker who had ascended around 1,000 feet off the Aguirre Springs Trail into a gully, according to fire officials.
The hiker reportedly injured himself and was unable to descend.
Search and Rescue parties worked together to assist and provide medical care to the hiker.

Officials reported that three firefighters were injured during the rescue.
