EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A person was airlifted to a hospital Monday following a near-drowning incident in east El Paso, according to the El Paso Fire Department.
The incident was reported on the 1900 block of Preview Place.
Fire officials said emergency crews responded to the incident, where one patient required medical treatment.
The patient was transported by FireSTAR helicopter to a hospital. The patient’s condition has not been released.
Details about the circumstances leading up to the near-drowning, including the patient’s age and where the incident occurred, were not immediately available.
The El Paso Police Department is expected to provide additional information as the investigation continues.
