(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The 2025 Fourth Judicial District Statutory Grand Jury has returned a true bill of indictment against six people following an investigation into an alleged drug trafficking organization operating in El Paso County between July 1, 2025, and Nov. 14, 2025.

According to the DA’s Office, the investigation started with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD). Investigators uncovered evidence of a large-scale drug distribution operation, after which the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) assumed primary investigative responsibility.

Local and federal task force partners worked together to identify a sophisticated alleged drug trafficking organization operating from Mexico and potentially distributing drugs across the Pikes Peak Region.

The DA’s Office said law enforcement seized more than 300,000 suspected fentanyl pills, along with significant quantities of methamphetamine, heroin, firearms, and cash.

“We thank Colorado’s Fourth Judicial District Attorney’s Office for pursuing charges against those who do not care about dealing deadly fentanyl on our streets,” said Drug Enforcement Administration Rocky Mountain Field Division Special Agent in Charge David Olesky. “We also thank members of the Grand Jury for returning indictments against these alleged drug dealers. DEA’s goal is a Fentanyl Free America, and to get there, we need everyone to join the fight. Enough is enough.”

The Grand Jury returned indictments against four of the suspects on several charges, including:

Conspire to sell or distribute various controlled substances

Distributing controlled substances on school grounds, public housing, or school bus
