ARLINGTON, Texas — Want tickets to Tuesday’s World Cup semifinal between France and Spain? You may have one more shot — and all it takes is fast feet.
Popular streamer iShowSpeed and Dick’s Sporting Goods are teaming up to host the first-ever “Speed Trial Challenge” at DICK’s House of Sport in Arlington off S Cooper Street Tuesday morning, giving North Texas fans a chance to sprint their way into the stadium.
This story continues below.
Here’s how it works: iShowSpeed will set an official 30-meter sprint time to beat. The first 100 guests to register on-site will get a chance to race. The fastest adult man and woman each win two tickets to the France vs. Spain semifinal — and head straight to the game.
Beyond the competition, organizers are promising a full experience with a live DJ, food trucks, photo opportunities and a real-time leaderboard updating throughout the event.
Registration opens for the first 100 guests at 8 a.m. Central Time, doors open to the public at 9:45 a.m., and the Speed Trial Challenge kicks off at 10 a.m.
The FIFA World Cup semifinal match between France and Spain will begin at 2 p.m. at Dallas Stadium in Arlington.
