Storm chances are going to ramp up Monday afternoon across the San Antonio area. The forecast calls for scattered showers or thunderstorms to develop through the day. Heavy rain will be possible Monday evening and night.

The wet weather will continue through Wednesday. Scattered showers and storms along with heavy rain are possible. Flash flooding will be a concern both days.

Storms are also expected in other parts of the state, and Gov. Abbott has directed the Texas Department of Emergency Management to activate resources to help across Texas.

“The State of Texas will deploy all necessary resources to help local officials respond to potential severe weather and flash flooding across the state,” Abbott said in a news release. “I urge all Texans to monitor local forecasts, heed guidance from state and local officials, and always remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown. Texas will support our communities as these threats develop.”
