All southbound lanes of Interstate 35W were shut down for several hours Tuesday morning as crews worked a fatal accident, according to Fort Worth police.
All southbound lanes have reopened. According to officials, a person was found struck in the roadway just before midnight. That person was pronounced dead on scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Fort Worth Traffic Investigative Unit.
