EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — On Tuesday, an El Paso Jury has found Robron Lewis guilty of capital murder for his role in a deadly shooting during an alleged drug deal and sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The alleged drug deal gone wrong happened back in October of 2021, when police said Robron Lewis and another man from Las Cruces, identified as Tranquil Card, shot and killed 22-year-old Jacal Allen at the westside McDonald’s located at 7900 N. Mesa St. near the Sam’s Club.

Investigators believed Lewis and Card were meeting Jacal Allen to allegedly buy marijuana, but instead shot him multiple times and stole the drugs.
The incident triggered a lockdown at the University of Texas at El Paso and surrounding businesses as police searched for the suspects who had fled to campus.

Lewis and Card were eventually found hiding in the stage area of one of the UTEP auditoriums.
Criminal court records show Card’s trial is scheduled for September 21.
