Torrential rainfall slammed south central Texas early on Tuesday, July 14, with hourly rates of two to four inches per hour bringing severe flash flooding to the area.
The National Weather Service (NWS) reported up to 12 inches of rainfall across portions of Medina, Uvalde, and Bandera counties, causing flooded roads and prompting “several high water rescues”.
