UPDATE: Power has been restored in East El Paso. Service was out at El Paso International Airport for about 20 minutes, a spokesman for El Paso Electric said. A total of 18 customers were impacted.
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A power outage is affecting portions of the terminal at El Paso International Airport, causing disruptions for travelers Tuesday, July 14.
Airport officials said the outage has impacted sections of the terminal and are urging passengers to check directly with their airline for the latest flight information before heading to the airport, as delays or operational changes may occur.
According to El Paso Electric, about 440 customers are without power in the E. Paisano Drive and Montana Avenue area.
The cause of the outage has not yet been announced, and it is unclear when power will be fully restored.
Airport officials thanked travelers for their patience and said updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
