The Houston area faces another round of rain and storms on Wednesday before a drier weather pattern settles in.
Our TV partner Channel Two says that the rain should be less widespread and persistent than it was Tuesday. Rain chances are around 60%, with most storms developing during the afternoon.
As for the ten day forecast, rain chances become much more isolated Thursday as high pressure begins building over Southeast Texas. Most of Houston should be dry by Friday, followed by mostly sunny conditions through the weekend and early next week. The return of sunshine will also bring a rapid warmup: highs climb into the low to mid-90s Friday and Saturday, then reach the mid- to upper 90s Sunday through much of next week. Heat index values will likely return to the triple digits, while meaningful rain chances remain very low.
