If you’re headed into work this morning, you’ll want to plan your commute around several San Antonio roads that are currently underwater, as well as multiple crashes being reported along busy highways as severe weather hits the area. Here’s where.
According to TxDOT, a collision was verified at 6:51 a.m. along I-35 northbound near Judson Road on the city’s northwest side. Though classified as minor, the collision did appear to slow traffic down, as SigAlert reports two lanes blocked due to the accident and delays of up to an hour as of 7:32 a.m. Traffic is backed up to Exit 167 towards Starlight Terrace and Thousand Oaks Drive.
There are other collisions reported across the city causing lane closures. An accident along Loop 1604 westbound near Babcock Road has the left shoulder blocked, according to SigAlert. It’s unclear how much of a delay that may cause for drivers.
Another wreck along I-10 west near Camp Bullis, reported at 7:09 a.m., has already been cleared according to SigAlert. However, small delays may linger.
