After thunderstorms moved over South Central Texas overnight, several roads near San Antonio have been shut down. The Uvalde County Office of Emergency Management reported on Wednesday, July 15, that more than a dozen roads are unusable after roughly 16 inches of rain slammed parts of the area.
According to city officials, the following routes are closed as of 6 a.m.
“Between 6 and 16 inches of rain have fallen,” the NWS wrote. “Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.”
