ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) – GECU broke ground on a new branch in Odessa, marking the credit union’s first location outside of El Paso and its second branch in Texas.
GECU President and CEO Alex Rascon said the branch is prepared to support and serve the Odessa area. At the groundbreaking, the credit union presented checks to two local nonprofits.
“Giving back to the communities that we serve, being able to donate to the different agencies that are in those communities, are so important to what we believe in and our philosophy,” Rascon said.
The credit union also announced growth plans for the near future, with a stated goal of providing members with resources related to financial freedom.
The new branch is expected to open in mid-2027.
