The Texas Rangers are making an abrupt change in streaming providers at midseason.
The baseball team announced Wednesday it is switching to BZZR (pronounced “buzzer”) as its new provider to stream games, beginning with Friday’s game against the Atlanta Braves, replacing previous carrier Victory+.
“When Rangers Sports Network was launched in January 2025, we committed to providing our fans with the highest-quality options to watch our games,” Neil Leibman, the chairman of Rangers Sports Media and Entertainment Company, said in a statement.
“It is unfortunate that this switch in direct-to-consumer distributors was necessary, but the decision was made in the best interest of both the Rangers and our fans. RSN is committed to continued delivery of the highest-quality game broadcast possible, and we feel BZZR is well-positioned to manage a seamless transition.”
Fans who had paid Victory+ subscriptions will have those transferred to BZZR and will receive an email with instructions to create a BZZR account and authenticate their subscription. Anyone seeking assistance with the process can email txrangers@bzzr.com.
The Rangers had moved to Victory+ in January 2025 after decades on various regional sports networks like Bally Sports Southwest and Fox Sports Southwest.
The National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars have also streamed their games on Victory+ the past two seasons. No changes to that agreement have been announced.
