After a disappointing finish to the 2025 season, the Dallas Cowboys are looking ahead to the new campaign.
Much of the focus this offseason has centered around the team’s defense, which could get a boost from new coordinator Christian Parker. The team also picked up some new names for the defensive unit, led by first-round draftees Christian Parker and Malachi Lawrence.
As the offseason moves forward and NFL teams prepare for training camp, we’re breaking down the Cowboys’ 2026 roster by position groups. Today, let’s take a look at DaRon Bland and the cornerbacks:

2026 Dallas Cowboys cornerbacks
DaRon Bland
Age: 27 NFL experience: 5 years
Contract: Signed a four-year, $90 million extension in 2025.
Summary: This could be a big year for Bland, who has dealt with foot injuries in each of the past two seasons. With Parker trying to install a new scheme in Dallas, veteran corners will play a pivotal role in how the defense performs. Bland is still looking to prove why the Cowboys signed him to a four-year extension in 2025.

Shavon Revel Jr.
Age: 24 NFL experience: 2 years
Contract: Entering Year 2 of his four-year, $6.5 million rookie deal.
Summary: Revel spent a big part of his rookie season recovering from a torn ACL. When he made his NFL debut, he displayed some of the skills that could make him a shutdown corner in the future. He still has some things to work on, like feeling comfortable in zone coverage. Parker could play an important part in Revel’s development moving forward.

Cobie Durant
Age: 28 NFL experience: 5 years
Contract: Signed a one-year, $4 million contract this offseason.
Summary: Durant is another experienced member of Dallas’ secondary. He joined the Cowboys on a one-year deal after spending the first part of his NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams. He can make big plays, which is seen in the 35 pass breakups and 11 interceptions he has recorded over the last four seasons.
Look for Durant to man a significant role and provide depth as Dallas retools its cornerback position.

Caelen Carson
Age: 24 NFL experience: 3 years
Contract: Entering Year 3 of a four-year, $4.2 million rookie deal.
Summary: The Cowboys had high hopes for Carson when they selected him in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL draft. The 6-0 corner is still looking to find consistency at the professional level. Injuries have somewhat slowed down his progress over the last two seasons. Carson has appeared in only 14 games throughout his NFL career.
Will this be the year Carson showcases his coverage skills on a consistent basis?

Devin Moore
Age: 22 NFL experience: Rookie
Contract: Signed a four-year, $5.5 million rookie deal this offseason.
Summary: Moore (6-3) could make an impact as a long, athletic outside corner in the NFL. He could be an interesting project player for Parker, especially since Dallas landed Moore in the fourth round of this year’s draft. Moore battled some injuries throughout his college career at Florida, but he appeared in 11 games for the Gators in 2025.
Trikweze Bridges
Age: 25 NFL experience: 2 years

Contract: Entering Year 2 of a four-year, $4.3 million rookie deal.
Summary: Bridges saw a decent amount of playing time as a rookie in Dallas, appearing in 16 games throughout the 2025 season. He originally landed in Dallas as a waiver claim before the 2025 campaign began. While he struggled to start his NFL career, Bridges could provide some needed depth as the Cowboys revamp their cornerback room.
Josh Butler
Age: 29 NFL experience: 3 years
Contract: Signed a one-year, $1.075 million deal this offseason.
Summary: Butler, a fan-favorite, returned to the field in Week 18 of the 2025 season after working his way back from an ACL injury. He was an exclusive rights free agent this year, but he signed a new one-year deal with the Cowboys in the offseason. He could provide some veteran leadership at the cornerback position.
Zion Childress
Age: 24 NFL experience: 1 year
Contract: Signed a two-year reserve/future deal worth $2.1 million this offseason.
Summary: Childress showed some promise in last year’s training camp. He started his career on the Cowboys’ practice squad, then was signed to the Houston Texans’ active roster in September. After a month in Houston, he found his way back to Dallas’ practice squad. The Cowboys brought Childress back on a reserve/future deal this offseason, so they should get another close look at the young corner’s skill set.
Derion Kendrick
Age: 25 NFL experience: 5 years
Contract: Signed a one-year, $1.3 million deal this offseason.
Summary: Kendrick was another free agency signing at cornerback. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 draft, and he spent the early part of his NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks. He could be a key name to watch in training camp. Since landing in the NFL in 2022, Kendrick has appeared in 47 games. He has posted 102 tackles and three interceptions.
Reddy Steward
Age: 25 NFL experience: 2 years
Contract: Signed a one-year, $1.005 million deal this offseason.
Summary: Like Bridges, Steward first landed in Dallas as a waiver claim ahead of the 2025 season. He also earned a decent amount of playing time as the team’s more experienced corners battled injuries. He notably made seven special teams tackles last year, so he could earn a role on that unit in 2026.
Ameer Speed
Age: 26 NFL experience: 3 years
Contract: Signed a two-year, $2.4 million deal this offseason.
Summary: The Cowboys have found success with ex-UFL players in the past. Speed will look to be the latest successful spring football story. The 2023 sixth-round NFL draft pick last played for the UFL’s Houston Gamblers.
