LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock NAACP is inviting everyone to its Annual Scholarship Dinner, Saturday, August 1, at M.C.M. Elegante Hotel and Suites, 801 Avenue Q, for an evening of food, music, and a silent auction. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for a reception, and dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m.
The event is open to the public. Individual tickets are $60 and a table for 8 is $650, including a one-forth page ad in the NAACP’s commemorative program. All proceeds will go toward the NAACP’s scholarship program.
Texas NAACP President Gary Bledsoe will be the keynote speaker, alongside distinguished co-hosts Phyllis Gant and Shelia Patterson Harris.
The event will celebrate the achievements of the NAACP’s 2026 scholarship recipients, including presenting the prestigious Rose Wilson Leadership and Caviel Business and Community Service awards, and reaffirming the NAACP’s commitment to empowering the next generation of changemakers.
