ARLINGTON, Texas – The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced the 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholar Team, naming three UT Arlington players to the list. Nitisha Manikandesh, Tarini Bhoga and Chandler Browning were the Mavericks that met the criteria for selection.
In order to be selected, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, be an amateur and on the team’s roster through the end of the season and must have played in at least 50% of their college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
The selection this season is the third in a row for Manikandesh. The Plano native wrapped up her senior season with an All-WAC Second Team selection after competing in 10 tournaments throughout the 2025-26 season. Manikandesh received WGCA All-American Scholar honors in all three of her seasons with UTA.
Bhoga made the All-American Scholar team in each of her first two years with the Mavericks. Her sophomore season saw her compete in all 35 possible rounds across 12 tournaments. The Frisco native also netted All-WAC First Team honors for her on-course performance during the 2025-26 season.
Browning is no stranger to academic accolades at UTA. In addition to earning her first WGCA All-American Scholar selection this season, the redshirt senior was also the final WAC Stan Bates Award female recipient, given annually to the Western Athletic Conference’s top male and female scholar athletes. Browning played in 11 of the Mavericks’ 12 tournaments, accruing 32 competitive rounds.
The trio were three of 1,551 women’s golfers recognized. UTA has had at least one women’s golfer named a WGCA All-American Scholar every year since 2019.
