This week, Texas found out that it still has some work to do in order to reach the College Football Playoff for the third straight season.

Texas was listed 11th when the initial College Football Playoff rankings were revealed on Tuesday. But due to how the field for the 12-team bracket is built, UT is not currently projected to be a playoff team by the committee.

Which team ranked ahead of Texas is destined to slip? Which team ranked behind Texas could leapfrog the Longhorns? In this week’s Longhorn Confidential podcast, the American-Statesman’s Danny Davis, David Eckert and Cedric Golden discuss all of those topics.
