The development firm behind The Mix, a $3 billion Frisco mixed-use project, broke ground on the development’s first office building earlier this month.
The 110,000-square-foot Class A office building at 7725 Lebanon Road, joins ongoing work at the site. Roughly 110,000 square feet of retail, 635 apartments and the first three acres of the development’s park are already under construction. JVP Development broke ground on the project in January 2025.
7725 Lebanon Road is expected to be completed in summer 2027. Arcadis is serving as architect, and AECOM Hunt is the general contractor for the office building. JLL executive managing director T.D. Briggs, and senior managing director Blake Shipley, are handling office leasing for the building.

The office will be adjacent to the apartments currently under construction from Dallas-based StreetLights Residential and the retail, which will include Frisco’s first Whole Foods grocery store. At full build-out, The Mix will offer more than 20 restaurants and bars, more than 2 million square feet of Class A office space, 375,000 square feet of upscale retail, two hotels, and over 3 million square feet of residential across 112 acres.
“Breaking ground on the first office building is an important step in bringing the full vision for The Mix to life,” said Tim Campbell, head of development at JVP Development. “We are creating a connected, wellness-focused destination where companies, residents and visitors can work, live, dine and gather in the heart of Frisco. This office building will be a key component of that experience.”
$120 million upgrade
A German engine maintenance and repair company has invested $120 million to expand its presence in North Texas.
MTU Aero Engines AG opened its upgraded Fort Worth facility at 2100 Eagle Parkway last week. The company signed a 30-year lease for the nearly 463,000-square-foot facility within Hillwood’s 27,000-acre AllianceTexas mixed-use development and relocated to the site in recent years.

The company plans to grow its workforce at the site from roughly 100 employees to more than 1,200 as a result of the expansion, and Fort Worth officials estimate the project will create an additional 2,000 indirect jobs in the region.
RealPage acquisition
Richardson-based RealPage has acquired Cherre, a real estate data intelligence company whose software collects and manages real estate data utilizing AI.

The Richardson-based property technology company RealPage announced Tuesday that it acquired a New York data company.
RealPage serves about 24 million housing units worldwide through property management software and other products.

The Richardson company acquired Cherre, a real estate data intelligence company whose software collects and manages real estate data utilizing AI. RealPage’s acquisition is part of a push by the company to integrate artificial intelligence into its products.
RealPage released its Lumina AI Workforce about two years ago. The product is a series of agents that perform functions alongside property teams. RealPage CEO Dirk Wakeham previously told The Dallas Morning News the products will be able to respond to maintenance requests, leasing services and operational issues.
Cherre has built the kind of trusted intelligence that people in the industry rely on, Wakeham said in a news release.
“Bringing that expertise into RealPage means every customer, whether they manage one property or a global portfolio, gets access to a stronger, more trustworthy foundation for their decisions,” Wakeham said in the release.

Cherre’s platform will remain an open hub where any application or data vendor can connect under clear permissions and standards, according to the release.
