The Laredo Chamber of Commerce is asking for the community to roll up their sleeves and take a needle for blood donations the following week.
This event, through its Health Services Committee and in partnership with South Texas Blood & Tissue, is set to host its second annual Community Blood Drive. The drive will be held July 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Laredo Chamber of Commerce Parking Lot, located at 5702 McPherson Rd.
“This community initiative helps support local hospitals and ensures a stable blood supply for patients in need. Every donation has the power to make a lifesaving difference,” the Chamber said.
All donors will also receive a $20 e-gift card as a courtesy from South Texas Blood & Tissue, alongside a goodie bag with treats while supplies last.
All donors are to be well-hydrated and to have had a full meal before donating. A donor questionnaire is also available online.
