The Plano Public Library has announced a slate of programs for adults and children running from late July through mid-August, according to a news release issued July 16.
Adult programs
For adult programs, registration can be made by calling 630-552-2009.
Writers Group is held from 6:30 to 8 p.m.on Thursdays July 23, 30 and Aug. 13, open to adults and high school students in person or via Zoom with no registration required.
Yoga with Paula is scheduled from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Fridays July 24 and 31 with separate registration for each class.
The Technology Help Desk is by appointment from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, July 27, and a drop-in Technology Help Desk from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, with Steve Goodwin. Both provide free help with cellphones, tablets or computers.
Plot Twisters Book Club meets from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28 to discuss “The Guest List” by Lisa Foley; registration is required and space is limited. “Felting and Flowers”, presented by Natasha Lehrer Lewis of Esther’s Place, is set for Thursday, July 30, in sessions, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. or 6 to 7:30 p.m., with a $10 fee due at registration.

A blood drive is scheduled from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. for Monday, Aug. 3. Donors can sign up at the library or online at www.versiti.org, according to the release. Appointments are preferred but walk-ins are welcome, and each donor will be entered in a raffle for a $100 Visa gift card.

Other kids’ programs include Bookworms on Tuesday, Aug. 4; Earthquake Tours with SciTech on Wednesday, Aug. 5; Create Art with Petite Palette on Thursday, Aug. 6, with a $5 fee per class; and Pizza & Pages for grades 7-10 on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
