After a bit of uncertainty, Moussa Cisse is sticking around in Dallas for a while longer.
The Knicks’ offer sheet to the restricted free agent was a two-year, $4.7 million deal with half the 2026-27 salary being guaranteed and the 2027-28 salary being non-guaranteed. The 6-foot-11 big man will now remain with the Mavericks on that same contract.
Cisse drew interest from New York thanks to his productive rookie season. While he only suited up in 38 games for the Mavs last season due to his two-way contract status, he averaged 4.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 13.9 minutes per game. Cisse flashed plenty of potential in that limited role, leading to outside interest that ultimately forced Dallas to match an offer sheet for the 23-year-old.
Instead of letting him get away to the Knicks, Mavericks will keep the talented young center as a piece in their rebuild around Cooper Flagg.
