The former Spur returns to the Coastal Bend after several years away.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Former San Antonio Spur and three-time NBA champion Danny Green is set to return to Corpus Christi when he brings his skills camp to town on Tuesday, July 28th.
Green wasn’t able to make as many trips to South Texas for his camp after he was traded from San Antonio to Toronto back in 2018. He then signed with the Lakers in 2019, where he won his third title after also winning one with the Spurs and Raptors.

3NEWS Sports Director Chris Thomasson spoke with Green on a digital call Friday. He says the he’s looking forward to helping the kids of South Texas not only with their hoops skills, but with some off-the-court-lessons as well.
“I feel like basketball and sports is universal because they can teach you so many things in a locker room that can translate and relate to an office or whatever that you’re doing,” Green said.
The camp will be for kids entering first grade through incoming high school seniors. It’ll be held from 10 AM to 2 PM at the First Baptist Church on Ocean Dr. The fee is $75 and the registration link can be found here.
