The issue: The Longhorns wanted to capitalize on a sudden demand spike. Bigger picture, college athletics is tapping into the revenue potential of sports other than football and men’s basketball.
Gist of the structure: This seating product came together so quickly — just four days, following Texas’ confirmation as a regional and super regional host — that it didn’t have an official name, let alone a sponsor.
The structure, located beyond the left field wall at 7,200-capacity Disch-Falk Field, consisted of 1,400 square feet of decking and 480 square feet of shaded space with TVs and ceiling fans. The suite held 100 guests (72 seated at tables, with additional standing-room-only space for 28).
Tickets started at $125 per person and were sold by RevelXP (one differentiating factor for RevelXP compared to other companies in the temporary and modular structure market).
Even with the short runway, the suite sold out for all five Texas regional and super regional games hosted at Disch-Falk Field.
Noteworthy: RevelXP put together an NIL marketing campaign for the pop-up suite, featuring a handful of Texas baseball players promoting the new seating option.
