Texas’ first Miyako Hybrid Hotel is moving closer to welcoming guests, with the $117 million project in Plano is scheduled to open Oct. 1, 2027.
The full-service boutique hotel will bring a new hospitality option to the city, combining Japanese-inspired design with modern Texas influences and offering a flexible destination for business travelers, corporate events, weddings and community gatherings.
Construction is currently underway on the project, which has been several years in development after Plano approved economic incentives to help bring the internationally recognized hotel brand to the city.
A New Meetings Destination For Plano
Designed with both business and social events in mind, the 217-room hotel will feature approximately 7,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
The centerpiece will be a contemporary 5,000-square-foot ballroom designed to accommodate a range of gatherings, from executive meetings and conferences to weddings, galas and private celebrations.

The hotel’s event spaces will include modern audiovisual technology, customizable layouts and dedicated support services aimed at creating a more streamlined experience for planners.
“Our vision is to create a hotel experience that combines elevated design, exceptional service, and highly functional meeting space,” said General Manager Alejandro Vazquez in an official statement. “We want to provide a venue where guests can seamlessly blend business, hospitality, and social experiences under one roof.”
Japanese Hospitality Comes To Texas
The Miyako Hybrid Hotel concept blends elements of Japanese hospitality with contemporary amenities, creating a property designed to serve both overnight guests and the surrounding community.
Beyond its meeting spaces, the hotel will feature several food and beverage offerings, including a signature restaurant, lobby bar, rooftop bar and Japanese bakery. The venues are expected to provide additional gathering spaces for networking events, receptions and casual visits.

Located near major corporate offices and business districts, the hotel is aimed at serving regional travelers and companies looking for a new meeting destination close to Plano’s business hubs.
Bringing A Global Brand To Plano
Plans for Texas’ first Miyako Hybrid Hotel were announced in 2024, introducing a new chapter for the city’s growing hospitality landscape.
The project gained momentum after Plano leaders approved incentives tied to the hotel’s expected cultural and economic impact. Once complete, the property will add another upscale lodging option to a city already known for its corporate presence and expanding visitor economy.
With construction continuing, Miyako Hybrid Hotel is on track to open its doors in fall 2027.
