FORT WORTH – Hector Vargas, lovingly known as “La Paloma,” entered eternal life on July 12, 2026, surrounded by his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren. Rosary: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2026 in Greenwood’s Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76107. Funeral Mass: 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026 in Greenwood’s Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76107. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Hector was born to Ramon and Serapia Vargas in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico. As the oldest of six sons, he was raised in Acuña, Coahuila. In 1967, he married the love of his life, Armandina F. Vargas, in Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico. Together, they moved to Fort Worth, Texas, in 1969, where they built a beautiful life and lovingly raised their four children. Hector was a proud member of the Mexican baseball league Club Acuña and the Charro Association Ace de Oro. He found great joy in riding his horses and motorcycle, strumming his guitar, watching Western movies, and working as a skilled carpenter, a trade he practiced with pride throughout his life. Above all, Hector treasured the time he spent with his family, whose love and laughter were the greatest blessings of his life. Hector was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Serapia Vargas. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 59 years, Armandina F. Vargas; his daughters, Juanita V. Delgado and her husband, David Delgado, Mandy V. Louis-Charles and her husband, Gregory Louis-Charles; Bianca Vargas and Freddy Ramirez; and his son, Hector Alejandro Vargas. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Alyssa Delgado and her husband, Nathan Villa, Mariah Delgado, Andres Ramirez, Giana Delgado, Yasmin Ramirez and Gillianne Louis-Charles; his cherished great-grandchildren, Carson Ryder Villa and Sutton Chantz Archie Villa; and his brothers, Oscar Vargas, Ramon Vargas, Luis Vargas, Roberto Vargas and Gustavo Vargas.
