Before I reveal the total number, it’s important to know the difference between total jobs in Texas and nonfarm jobs. Nonfarm is just a fancy term for any jobs OUTSIDE of the following:

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced in a thrilling news release that Texas reached a whopping 14,469,600 nonfarm jobs following a gain of 43,000 nonfarm jobs in June alone.
In fact, over the year, Texas added 177,900 jobs with an annual growth rate of 1.2%. This means a lot when you think about the fact that the national growth rate is just 0.9%, according to the Texas Workforce Commission.
Another icebreaker for your friends is that Texas has an unemployment rate of just 4.4%.
