After officially opening its third location in South Austin earlier this summer, The Art Garage is slated to hold a grand opening celebration in August.

Per a news release, the business will hold the grand opening on Aug. 8 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony, free tie-dye T-shirts and spin art, 15% off pottery painting, and pop-up vendors including MK Tattoos, Peaches Coffee and King of Pops.
The studio “marks a meaningful homecoming” for founder Kelly Emmert who first opened The Art Garage in her family’s garage in 2008, the release stated.
“Opening a studio just a few minutes from where it all began is so exciting,” General Manager Kaiya Emmert said in the release. “It’s really special to be back in the neighborhood where it all started.
The art studio has other locations at 11190 Circle Drive, Austin and 5501 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin and offers paint-your-own pottery, glass fusion, mosaics, clay workshops and art camps.
