A supermarket chain is planting more roots in North Texas with five new stores, including one set to open this month. Kroger is officially opening the doors of its newest location in the suburbs of Denton County at 26587 E. University Dr. in Aubrey on July 31.
“This new Marketplace store reflects Kroger’s long-term commitment to serving families who are putting down roots and building their future in one of the fastest-growing areas of North Texas,” Rudy DiPietro, president of Kroger’s Texas Division, said in a release sent to Chron.
“We are excited to become a part of this thriving area and look forward to serving our neighbors for years to come with access to fresh, affordable food, innovative services and exceptional customer experience.”
The new 123,000-square-foot Kroger Marketplace store was built on 14 acres of land, bringing “the best that Kroger has to offer” including a cut fruit kiosk, Murray’s Cheese counter with gourmet options, fuel center featuring with 14 fueling positions and a grab-and-go kiosk with beverages and snacks along with full-service grocery, produce, floral, meat and seafood, pharmacy, and expanded general merchandise like home goods, apparel, toys, and more.
Once open, the Little Elm area store will mark Kroger’s 208th in Texas. But the company already has others under construction in Anna, Fate, McKinney, Princeton, and the Sendera Ranch community, though official opening dates have yet to be announced.
To mark the grand opening of the new Kroger in Little Elm, special prizes, gift cards and coupons for free products will be gifted to the first shoppers once the store opens at 6 a.m., along with special weekly ads for store and fuel station savings.
