Tropical Storm Bertha continues to churn in the Gulf of America. The system currently has maximum sustained winds of 50 miles an hour.
There are Tropical Storm Warnings and Watches along the Gulf Coast from Florida into Louisiana.
But what will Houston see?
On Facebook, Harris County meteorologist Jeff Lindner wrote that “Increasing confidence that TD2 will have minimal impacts on SE TX as strong northerly shear, dry air, and interaction with southern Louisiana create unfavorable conditions for development.”
Matt Lanza on Space City Weather noted that, “Interestingly, if you look at the various ensembles, you also see a lot of them “losing” Tropical Depression 2 before it gets to Texas.”
As always, the forecast could change, so make sure you keep track of the weather all week long.
