DALLAS – An armed suspect is barricaded inside a Dallas home after allegedly setting it on fire.
What we know:
According to Dallas Fire-Rescue, firefighters were dispatched to the home on Delaware Avenue around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police were already at the scene because of an armed barricaded person. That person allegedly started a fire inside the house.
The firefighters are doing what they can to protect the surrounding homes because it’s not safe for them to go inside the burning home, DFR officials said.
The home reportedly has heavy fire damage.
What we don’t know:
FOX 4 is still waiting to hear back from Dallas police about the barricaded suspect.
There’s no word yet why that person is barricaded or if they are wanted for a crime.
