EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 38-year-old man was arrested after kidnapping a woman in East El Paso County, according to the news release by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

Jorge Humberto Centeno, 38, was charged with kidnapping and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under no bond, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Shortly before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, deputies with the Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 1500 block of Fitzroy Drive to a report of a suspicious vehicle.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they met with the reporting party, who stated they saw a man jump a fence and forcefully enter a nearby residence. Another witness reported that the man then forced a 46-year-old woman into a vehicle and fled the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect, identified as Centeno, for kidnapping.

Later, deputies located the suspect’s vehicle along the 1200 block of Ange Street. They surrounded the home and attempted to make contact with the occupants, but no one responded, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office SWAT team was activated to help.

Centeno then exited the residence and surrendered without incident. The woman was found unharmed inside.

Back in 2018, Centeno made an appearance during an incident with El Paso Police on Live PD, a documentary TV series about law enforcement.
