A heat advisory was released by the NWS Fort Worth TX on Wednesday at 12:02 a.m. valid from 8 p.m. until Thursday 8 p.m. The advisory is for Denton, Collin, Tarrant, Dallas, Hunt, Rockwall, Kaufman, Van Zandt and Rains counties.
The NWS informs, “Heat index values up to 108 degrees expected.”
“Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity will increase the risk for heat-related illnesses to occur, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities,” says the NWS.
This advisory is in effect until Thursday at 8 p.m.
