A 41-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday, July 22, after he stabbed his roommate and a dog at a south Fort Worth home, police say.

A 41-year-old man is in custody after he stabbed his roommate and a dog at a south Fort Worth home early Wednesday, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Hodgson Street about 12:30 a.m. The injured man was taken to a hospital, and both he and the dog are expected to survive, according to police.

Luis Alfonso Guadarrama has been arrested in connection with the incident. The suspect was booked into the Fort Worth City Jail and faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and cruelty to animals.

Detectives from the Family Violence Unit are investigating the stabbing, police said.
